BateWorld Unveils Free Secure Verification

Get Verified - BateWorld Verification - The Bator Blog

Become A Verified Bator

There’s no shortage of online drama when it comes to adult spaces and websites.

With all the serious changes taking place on other platforms and communities, we at bateworld.com wanted to take some time and tell you exactly what we’re doing to make sure we’ll always be here for this thriving and throbbing community.

Get That Boner Verified, Bro

The one feature that has been most actively requested for the entire life of our site has been some type of member authentication. BateWorld is a welcoming arena no matter how much (or how little) you choose to share about yourself. But in an era of deepfakes and catfish, we definitely see the value in making sure folks are who they say they are in a place like this. That’s why we’re so pleased to announce the rollout of member Verification starting TODAY!

Verification is a great step toward keeping yourself safer online, and we have partnered with one of the largest verification companies in the world (they are eBay’s adult verifier, so you know they’re reliable and safe) to offer fast, free, and secure verification for all our members. Your private information is never associated with your BateWorld account, and no one from our site will have access to any personal details you didn’t share with us directly. You’re always in charge of how much you share and show on bateworld.com.

Whether you’re a Premium member or still working through your 7-day trial, you can get your profile verified immediately and let other members know you’re the real deal. When you verify, we’ll even add 30 Days of Premium membership to your account as a thank you! (if you’re already a Premium member, we’ll extend your membership by 30 days).

🎉 AND verify within the next month to be automatically entered for a chance to win one of the world’s leading male masturbation toys from Hot Octopuss! 🎉

New Ways to Get a Helping Hand Premium Membership

It can be a drag when things don’t work quite like they’re supposed to, or when you have a problem with the site you can’t seem to fix on your own. That’s why we’re rolling out some new ways to get in touch with BateWorld Support. Beginning in October, you’ll have easy access to our new searchable knowledge base and FAQ, with loads of quick answers to common problems.

You’ll also now be able to quickly open a ticket to receive direct help with your question by email.  We’re still a small group, but we know we can do more to make sure you’ve got what you need to get the most out of this amazing site.

Keeping Things That Don’t Belong on Bateworld Out of Bateworld

It’s a universally understood idea that the BateWorld community is for consenting adults only. Part of our commitment to making sure we’re around for the long haul is being absolutely certain we don’t accidentally overlook instances of child sexual exploitation material.  That’s why we’re undertaking a new internal review process that ensures media which violates the BateWorld TOS doesn’t have a home on this website. We have recently updated our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.

Media featuring minors in any capacity is prohibited on bateworld.com, and you can read our full statement on child sexual exploitation materials here.

This means that photos and videos you upload to the site might take a little longer to appear on your profile. That way we can take a first peek at your dongs, boners, and jackings to ensure they’re authentic bate fuel.

More and More, Every Day

Rather than shying away from a challenge we’re coming at them—like all good bators—hard. While there might be some changes to certain features and the way you can engage with the BateWorld team (both for the better, we think), we’re committed to improving. That means improving the site, how we highlight and share your incredible content, and how we help bring boners together all over the world.

You ready to get verified? Let’s go!

  1. I love the idea of verified memberships. It also adds some peace of mind for meet-up. However, there are many online security risks when sending identification to websites. What are your security practices regarding our identification information? How and where is it stored? What measures have you taken to ensure us our information cannot be stolen or stored online?

    1. Yes, peace of mind is the best part of it. Both safe and secure for all of us on the site. Any information you provide to our third party verification (VerifyMyAccount) is the only party that has access to that information. They are the leading adult verifying company and are used by some of the largest businesses on the net including Ebay. They use high-end cryptography to protect customers’ data. All data is encrypted at rest and in-transit using a combination of 256-bit encryption and hashing algorithms.

If you have further questions and/or concerns, please reach our support team @ support.bateworld.com

    2. Ditto on many of the comments already posted regarding privacy protection, third letter negotiated agreements unavailable for disclosure or review by members.

    3. How is any of this legal, how are we to be assured that our doc info is not hacked you can’t. My photos verify who I am , I will not give you my numbers on my Id they will be covered. THIS IS AN DISGRACE and soils bate worlds rep and furthermore I don’t upload anything but my own pictures of myself why do they have to be verified..? RIDICULOUS!!!!

      1. We totally understand your concern. Please have a listen to our Zoom Q&A once it is uploaded today on our YouTube. We will post about it.

    1. No need to worry. We are using one of the leading adult verifiers online. They use high-end cryptography to protect your data. All data is encrypted at rest and in-transit using a combination of 256-bit encryption and hashing algorithms. They are the only entity that has access to any information you provide.

If you have further questions and/or concerns, please reach our support team @ support.bateworld.com

    1. Yes. As of Oct. 15th any newly uploaded content has to be reviewed. On Nov. 15th and on, only those verified members will be able to upload new content. You can still use the site as an unverified member you just won’t be able to upload new content or broadcast on VidChat. Any content you have previously is considered legacy content, this will remain. 🙂 Please reach our support at support.bateworld.com if you need more information.

    1. The response to the new system has been overwhelming during peak usage hours. Sometimes the system gets overloaded. If you come back and it’s continuing to give you trouble please reach out to us at support.bateworld.com, and tell us exactly what’s happening when you try to verify.

We will see if we can help!

  2. Vérification is a nice idea but it generates lot of questions and concerns once reading conditions of your third-parties company that are properly not acceptable for me !! Keep some of my datas up to 24 months after initial verification ? wtf ? they also may use my datas for marketing purposes and also communicate it with third parties (not identified in legal conditions) out of Europe (which means probably their data are stored with a GAFAM..).
Completely unacceptable for me and your users should seriously think about it as it’s too many security and confidentiality issues there….

  3. These statements are in direct contradiction to your posted ToS/PP, which to summarize, clearly outline that all the data from my photo ID is linked to my personal BW data, and may be sold or given away to basically anyone.

    1. There is no link between your personal data and BateWorld. The only entity who sees it is our content verification provider.

  4. I tried the verification process. Selfie step was a breeze. Denied me twice when I provided front and back of my Pennsylvania drivers license. There is no damage to license. Lighting was good. No obstructions, you need to improve the process.

    1. Thanks for your comment, Vince.

As this is a new process for all of us, we are in constant contact with VerifyMyContent to try and iron out all the wrinkles at their end. Your feedback is important and we will bring it to their attention.

If you are still having issues with the process, please contact us at support.bateworld.com. We are happy to help in any way we can.

  5. Not that I’m planning on breaking the law or anything but what would this mean in terms of working with police or law enforcement etc around the world? Can you or the verification site be forced to had over our identities to law enforcement/government agencies?

    1. Of course they will provide your details to the police in request – there is no point otherwise. Consider that being verified does not itself verify your content. You could yourself be over 18 and yet still post content which includes a minor so BW still have to check the actual images. So the point of the verification is that if and when someone does post images of a minor they can be tracked down and arrested.

  6. This seems like a rather intrusive way to be verified. Can’t there be some other way like a selfie with a code?

And what is the real purpose and value? It is being presented as a feature but I don’t see the benefit. It also seems like it’s being forced on us to even post so it’s a requirement rather than a feature and what are the benefits to either the user or the company?

    1. Totally agree. What are the benefits versus the risks? It had better be extremely lopsided on the benefit side, but at this point, I don’t see the value yet certainly see the risks. Why I need to be “verified” is beyond me. Is there not a better way to manage this?

      1. Please join us for a live Q&A about Verification: TODAY NOV. 2 @ 6:30PM EST/3:30PM PST on Zoom. All members welcome! 𝗝𝗼𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘂𝘀 will be Verify My Content’s Head of Business Development from 7-7:30PM EST.

        Zoom Room Link: http://ecs.page.link/Nre6j

  7. Why not just drop MasterCard and find some other way for people to pay for their membership. Many guys here are on the DL and will not want to verify their identity and divulge personal data. (Look how many don’t show their face in any pictures.)

Most guys think the site was working fine as is. This will certainly reduce the effectiveness of the site. As an IT person, I know too well the best security intentions can fail and private data can become public. Really sorry to see BW be forced to do this.

  8. I would have preferred that each ot us have a PIN number rather than submit photos of ourselves. So many of us here demand and need total discretion. “Don’t worry, it can’t happen….” Famous last words.

  9. Doesn’t work. “Issue Encrypting Camera Feed”

What sort of “working camera” are you talking about? Do I need to have smartphone, cause I don’t, and I won’t buy one just for this. Obvsiously the build in camera of my notebook and external plugged in camera do not work.

  10. So after trying to verify on the hour, all day, I simply cannot get past the video selfie, apparently, I smile too much. I cannot have any more of a neutral face.

  11. Yep. So much for BW. No way in hell I’ll give my ID. Remember Ashley Madison? They got hacked and all the personal data of their “clients” was made public. The whole point of the thing is anonymity. Find another way to collect funds.

  12. I get it that there needs to be some way of verifying age and that the person verifying is the person they say they are. I’m not sure this would be a problem if the site doing the verification permanently was legally bound to permanently delete the ID photos immediately after they signed off on the verification. However, an active, preserved database of drivers licenses and full identities of men who have uploaded sexually explicit photos of themselves is the biggest single criminal hacker target I can imagine for blackmail of anyone using this site discretely/not showing their face anyway.

Remember those blackmail spam emails that went out a couple of years ago where they used hacked email addresses and passwords from sites liked LinkedIn to prove (falsely) that they hacked your computer/webcam and had recorded footage of you jacking off to porn and you had to pay up before they posted it on your hacked Facebook page or whatever? Here, they would actually have something substantial to use against you.

  13. Dang the internet is in a weird place. It started with the downfall of tumblr, then pornhub, then xtube. I’ve had to go to darker and darker corners of the internet just to find stuff I’m into and it makes me feel like a freak. It’s hard to find online spaces that don’t cater to entirely conventional sexualities. Bateworld was one of the last places where I felt I was free to explore my sexuality online discretely and anonymously. Sad to see another one fall. Crazy how a credit card company is basically allowed to dictate what is allowed online and what isn’t just through its sheer size and reach. What a world we live in.

  14. If MasterCard is the problem, why not just drop MC? That seems a much simpler and much less intrusive solution. Or use a verification vendor that doesn’t actually store information someplace. The mobile passport app has to be reloaded with your information.for every trip. Why should this be any different? Reload it for any online site, verify it, and delete it.

    1. Right? I’m paying with my Visa card. And since I am paying with my Visa card and have been for a few years, it is obviously mine, so why do I have the verify again? My Visa card info should be enough. F*ck MasterCard.

  15. Bateworld – I think you should request from your verification service and publish here two things here: One, the standards they are using to protect member data from breaches and leaks; and two, their terms of service or other contractual documents containing their limitation of liability clauses. I’m highly confident that the latter will contain a disclaimer of ALL liability – regardless of whether the verification service is negligent or grossly negligent in following their policies (meaning there will be no consequences to the verification service if their systems are breached and all of our data exposed). Having said that, I am willing to read them, and I’m sure other members are, as well. This is the least you can do to address members’ concerns. I, for one, will not provide the requested documents until I am able to read these things. Oh, and I did visit the “verify” link – which requests that we upload documents and photos, but does not provide these documents first. The service does claim that our data is safe with them and that they’re the “leading” verification service. However, I want to see the items I mentioned above so that I can make my own decision.

  16. I’ve been trying to verify, but I can’t seem to be able to work out how to scan my Id picture and load it onto verify. Do I have to put it through a scanner or upload it from my phone?

    1. You should be able to do everything with the camera on your phone or computer.

The response to the new system has been overwhelming during peak usage hours. If you it’s continuing to give you trouble please reach out to us at support.bateworld.com, and tell us exactly what’s happening when you try to verify.

We will see if we can help!

  17. Why continue to use MasterCard? Surely there are other providers that you can use that would not require BW to do something so extreme?!

Also, I admitedly don’t know much about US online privacy laws, but surely what you are asking for does not comply with privacy laws in most other jurisdictions (ie outside of the USA). It’s completely crazy to me that you could think this “verification” is acceptable – it’s not.

  18. Tried last night but not enough light.
    Succeeded today in the daylight.
Only issue might be that the verification website cut off my passport scan half way down.
What’s the next step? How do i know i have completed verification successfully?

  19. Apart from the real threat of hackers (if we can’t safeguard our elections and power grids, then I doubt that a bunch of masturbators can expect greater security), my real concern here is future political “justification” for subpoenaing this information for the purpose of identifying and denying rights and benefits to willingly registered “subversives”.

I’m not a conspiracy theory guy at all, but nothing in our current political climate ensures me that in 5, 10 years and beyond, that this registration as a porn content creator won’t be used against us. As I’ve stated elsewhere, including my updated profile text, I have shared EVERYTHING on this site, but this is a line I cannot cross.

    1. I totally agree. On one hand, I can see the desire/need for adult social media sites to try to “cover their asses” so that credit card companies will do business with them. On the other hand, this whole “verification” process is bullshit. I would dare to say that most people would prefer to keep their erotic browsing/posting anonymous. I’ve got enough problems with my credit card being compromised. It happens about once a year. I certainly don’t trust personal adult porn data to be un-hackable.

  20. Other services, such as Discord, allow you to present an edited official document that only shows your age. The other data shown on an i.d.: name, residence, i.d. number, etc. can be blacked out. That so much precise personal information is being requested is unnecessary, as well dangerous.

And no answer to why not Visa, AmEx, bank transfer as payment options? I don’t get it.

  21. Seems like the verification company is not legit. Their support email is not the correct email address, you get an undeliverable.

I am obviously of 18 and have been paying with my Visa card for years. Why do I need to be verified? I am verified by my payment method.

  22. What a rubbish system. I’ve wasted 30 minutes trying to get it to take a video of me in different light and just get the endless messages “Please frame your face in the oval ” and “try again” . You’re not going to have many members left on Bateworld if you don’t get this sorted out fast.

  23. Bateworld isn’t telling the whole truth when it says your Bateworld account won’t be associated with your identity. Your government ID will be associated with any content (photo or videos) that you post on BW from now on though Verifymycontent.co.uk . VMC also states they review content by “facial recognition of its participants” meaning your face must be in all future content to be approved. That also means VMC is storing your identity along with all the content you post at a minimum of 1-12 months according to their privacy policy. VMC my have top notch encryption, but that doesn’t account for human error which often the cause of most data breaches. Bateworld or VMC can’t really guarantee the safety and security of anyone’s data.

  24. Why not dump MasterCard©? Why have Banksters tell you how to run your biz?

This is information theft and I will not play their game.

  25. Bye Bateworld, it was fun until you gave in to the corporate requirements when it would be simple to drop MasterCard. BTW, the support of your top adult verification service is terrible – yes, I was thinking of giving in but decided my privacy is more important than a site that has the same stuff as free services. They did not respond to any of my support issues.

I’ve cancelled my auto renewal, luckily a former BW member instructed me how to, since BW support didn’t answer my question either. Which is a sign of bad customer service, which is a sign of a not very trustworthy business.

Twitter, Skype and New Tumbl have a LOT of bator groups, for free. The Skype groups are much better than BW’s vidchat.

    2. Hey, ChiBate420,
would you be willing to DM me the process for cancelling my auto-renewal?
      Thanks
      Pablo
      DadOnTheMile

  26. I don’t own a Mastercard and I use a different card to pay for my Bateworld premium membership. Are the other big card companies (VISA, AMEX, Discover) requiring verification now?

      1. Edward, thank you for the response. How would I cancel my membership as of Nov 15 and receive a refund? Not much fun just watching 🙂

      2. I have deleted my content and sent an email to BW customer service requesting that my account be deleted. I paid for 365 days in July (non-recurring). I would like a pro-rated refund of money paid towards time unused after my cancellation takes effect.
        Thank you,
        DadOnTheMile

  27. “They are eBay’s adult verifier so you know they’re reliable and safe” LOL! You realize ebay had a security breach earlier this year, right? So probably not the best example. I would honestly trust this more if you guys were handling it yourself then farming it out third party. Oh well. Good thing this isn’t the only bate community around. Any chance I can get a prorated refund on my year membership?

    1. There has been a really high volume of traffic. Many users have had this experience, but please keep trying – you’ll eventually get through. Unfortunately, this is a technical error on the VMC side of things so we recommend reaching their support team.

    2. Gives a lot of comfort doesn’t it? They can’t even make their verification process work effectively and we are supposed to trust them with all our personal information?
      I think not.

  28. “they are eBay’s adult verifier, so you know they’re reliable and safe”

You realize eBay had a security breach not that long ago, right? So probably not the best example to use. I honestly would feel better if you guys were doing it in house instead of farming it out third party.

Oh well, it was a good run while it lasted

    1. The Zoom recording from our recent Q&A will be made available on the Verify page (Top menu bar) at BateWorld.com. You will see/hear directly from the head of business development from Verify My Content so we highly recommend. He clarifies security breach and if some how the information were to be hacked. In a nutshell, none of your private information actually appears, it is only data. He confirms this in our Q&A. Also know that ANY information you provide no matter what site you are verifying yourself for is actually linked to that site.

  29. Hi BW,

I join my voice to others. The privacy policy of Verymycontent is quite concerning. For all to read here are excerpts:

“Supplying our services to you (as a content uploader uploading content)
Date of birth. Your image. Full Address. Images of & pertinent information on government-issued identification. Credit card information. Payment transaction information. Social media information. Voice recording. Email address. Bank information.”

So uploading content will always be matched with all the information above. Great.

** “7.2. With your permission and/or where permitted by law, we may also use your personal data for marketing purposes, which may include contacting you by email or telephone or text message or post with information, news, and offers on our services […]
The following automated decision-making method(s) may be used:
using facial and voice biometrics and/or
scanning and authenticating government issued identification and/or
    performing a soft credit look-up”

    SOFT CREDIT LOOK UP?!

** “7.4. We will only use your personal data for the purpose(s) for which it was originally collected unless we reasonably believe that another purpose is compatible with that or those original purpose(s) and need to use your personal data for that purpose.”

So this means they can do all they want with it based on their own suspicion. They protect themselves in case they want to use the data for whatever

** In clause 9 they keep referring to the EU regulations but … the UK is not part of the EU anymore.

** “10.2. We may share your personal data with other companies in our group for our internal business purposes.”

** “10.6. If we sell, transfer, or merge parts of our business or assets, your personal data may be transferred to a third party. Any new owner of our business may continue to use your personal data in the same way(s) that we have used it, as specified in this Privacy Policy.”

** None of this is OK. Checking that we’re all consenting adults one way or the other could be understandable. But the amount of information collected that can be cross-referenced, used or sold is VERY concerning.

I love you BW but this not OK.

Please explain how YOU believe that any of these clauses are OK. We understand MC is giving you a hard time but I want to hear YOU regarding all these clauses and how you believe it’s acceptable to agree to any of this.

    Thank you,
    h.

PS: where is the zoom recording of the Q&A?

    1. The Zoom recording will be made available on the Verify page (Top menu bar) at BateWorld.com. Most of your questions and concerns here are answered directly from the head of business development from Verify My Content. We highly recommend watching as to ease your decision.

      1. Thank you Edward. However, I want to hear the position of BW on this matter and those particular clauses. I want you, as a company, to take a stance and explain why you think it’s OK. I will wait for the zoom recording to be available but in the meantime BW needs to explain itself. You are, overall, asking us to join the program, so I want you, as a corporation, to position yourself on all the clauses you wish us to approve.

        1. Of course, and that we do. We are asking members to verify, yes. However, the decision is yours. You can still be a BateWorld member, but for security reasons (age/identity verification) you won’t be able to upload any new content or broadcast on VidChat. The Zoom recording should be live today on our YouTube. I will come back and drop the link here. Thanks!

  30. NO!

The only way this tyranny ends is when company’s like BW start fighting back. Just look at what happened with Onlyfans – at first they caved to this right-wing zealotry, only to find a work around when the vast majority of their users rebelled. You claim this is about making this space safer, but safer for whom? The only people that have the ability to protect sex spaces ARE SEX SPACES! If you can’t see that as soon as you acquiesce to their current demands they’ll just move the finish line and make even more unrealistic demands then you deserve to lose everything you have.

  31. As Brandon would say, c’mon man! Don’t EVER upload government IDs or docs to the internet. Anything can be captured in spite of the “best” security measures. Just yesterday, I noticed my BW intro video was included in a bate compilation I downloaded from a porn site. I was -not- upset or surprised. I knew full well when I posted the vid that it could possibly be hijacked. So can photo IDs. I removed my content from Bateworld and had my accounts permanently deleted. There is still good bate life without Bateworld. NOTE: to delete an account – not just deactivate it – you must send an email to [email protected]

  32. I find this MasterCard / verification scenario very concerning. With the benefit of hindsight and looking back in history, it sends chills thru me knowing a large organisation(s) thinks they have a right to impose this upon people and businesses.

On a practical level surely if you already have a MasterCard or any other credit / debit card the company in question will have already verified your identity in order to open an account with that financial institution in the first place. What are they / you actually being asked to verify which has not already been done?

It is deeply concerning that information about who belongs to which adult websites is being collected and no doubt recorded somewhere. This information can give insights into people’s sexual orientation as but one example, these are parts of our private life which should remain private and not become corporate data to be shared or worse still used again people in a more sinister way.

I have no axe to grind with Bateworld but I am staggered anyone can think this is OK. It most certainly is not.

P.S. You mention the verification company is associated with similar for eBay. I would respectfully point out the way eBay verify accounts is laughable. They have countless and I mean countless sellers claiming to reside in the U.K. for example yet in fact they are operating from China and misleading everyone.

  33. I love Bateworld. I have recommended Bateworld to MANY people. This, however, is too much. Requiring “verification” is not the issue. It is the storage of the data and the corporate policies YOU HAVE ENDORSED that have made me reconsider being a member here.

VMC uses our government issued information for SALES/MARKETING PURPOSES? That’s not verification, that’s making a buck on our email addresses, our physical addresses, phone numbers, etc. It’s not a verification company, it’s a data mining/marketing company. There are other verification companies that verify you and then IMMEDIATELY delete the info collected. Why have you not considered one of them? And, has been asked by MANY people, why not just dump MasterCard? You have bank transfers available for anyone who has no Visa debit or credit card.

I just cancelled my auto-subscription, which required that I contact your payment provider because you give us NO WAY to cancel an auto-subscribe here on Bateworld. You must contact the billing company to ask for the auto subscription to be stopped. Links to the payment companies are under “Membership/Renew Membership” on the Bateworld homepage.

I have 13 days left on my current subscription. I’ll decide then if I continue as a member but I will NEVER upload government issues documents to ANY company that will store and use them as marketing information.

  34. When trying to verify, I give access to my cam, but cam switches off automatically long before the photo is taken. Can anybody help?

    1. You may want to try clearing your cookies/cache or try using a different browser. Please reach out to Support.bateworld.com if the issue persists. They can point you in the right direction.

  35. Yikes.
I used to work in information security for a global tech company at government level.
This course of action is insane in terms of the risk to end users.
It is a disproportionate response to the reasoning offered
There is no way I am verifying and no one else should either.
    Bye bye BW.

  36. I don’t like this at all….but because I like your site and I have been a paying member for a long time, I was willing to compromise and go through the verification process. It would very nice if you would use a verification system that is a little bit user friendly and actually WORKS as it should. I have sat here for the past 30 minutes with my camera fitting my face into a f’ing oval over and over again only to be told some bullshit like “too bright”, “too dark” “too blurry, clean your lens”, “sorry we can’t verify you at this time”…..TOTAL BULLSHIT and a waste of my time. Go ahead and take my user benefits away and when you do, I am no longer a paying member. Fuck this. Not worth the trouble.
