2016 is shaping up to be an exciting year for us at BateWorld and The BatorBlog, and I want to share some of what we’re working on for your upcoming pleasure.
Since we started BateWorld six years ago, we’ve been slowly evolving and improving our user experience. The current version, BateWorld2.0, was launched in 2010 after our first year of operation. We’ve continually improved on that foundation for five years and now we’re ready to take it to the next stage. In 2016, BateWorld will begin its third phase of transformation. Our members will soon begin to see changes to the site, which may continue gradually through several more years as we upgrade every element of BateWorld.
The first stage of our projected 2016 updates will be to implement new Sign In pages, which should be up by April. The new pages will replace everything you encounter before logging into BateWorld, and they also include a new Sign-OUT page with links to our other sites, our Twitter feed, etc.
The second stage of BateWorld’s design overhaul will be to give the site a sleeker look, with a new color system that will be more functional and, among other benefits, should cause less eye strain. There will also be new banners at the top and a cool vertical menu option for the desktop site. The New Members section on the Home Page will be updated, and some other elements will become more interactive.
These upgrades will introduce responsive design to BateWorld, allowing us to have a more robust mobile platform. As technology continues to change and morph, responsive design will keep BateWorld adaptable to whatever comes next (ha), and make us available to members on a wider variety of devices.
So expect to see the new sign in pages popping up in a few months, with more changes coming later in the year.
But that’s not all!
Starting in January, we’ve scheduled a series of multi-media releases that I hope will be the first of many to come (ok, the puns just don’t stop…).
In January, we’ll be promoting the first album by BateWorld co-founder Hiri David Feign (which is me, that is, I). Some may be aware that I have a dark past as an amateur musician/GarageBand artist, and that past has come back to haunt me in the form of an album I made back in 2009. You can find the title track by clicking on BateWorld’s promotional video here. RISE will be available for free download on January 15.
If you’d like to hear some of my previous work under the nom de plume GhostDogPlanet, you can download two of my previous albums, METROPOLIS and AGENT PROVOCATEUR.
But wait there’s more!
I’m especially excited to announce that in February we’ll begin a monthly Cock Meditations Video Series by sexologist Dr. Jallen Rix aka BateWorld member Hand2Rod. I reviewed Dr. Rix’s one-man show Stake In The Ground awhile back, and we’re thrilled to be working with him as he creates mindful and heart-felt self-love meditations that are pure poetry.
And, among many other secret surprises, I’m currently having an email conversation with David Pevsner, Hollywood actor and Erect Man-God, and we’ll be posting that here on TheBatorBlog in March.
And Finally!
We’re very pleased to announce that BateWorld is spawning our third spinoff site, Man4ManWorld.com, which is scheduled to open in late 2016. Man4ManWorld will connect men whose primary sexual interests go beyond masturbation, with uniquely themed sections devoted to oral, anal, leather, and more.
Man4ManWorld is another big step for us, and it’s exciting to be working on creating a new site again. I look forward to making it as fun and as uniquely hot as possible.
So that’s what’s coming for us. 2016 is shaping up to be a year filled with lots of hot stuff!
Congrats on the upgrades; looking forward to seeing the updated site.
These upgrades sound great! I get so much enjoyment through BateWorld’s impressive site, the wonderful fellow bators I find here, and the opportunity to share some of my own exhibitionistic masturbation experiences with my BateWorld friends. I hope to share some ideas for BateWorld with you soon. Thanks for so much on so many levels. Keep it up and cumming!
You’re right that BW could use a design refresh, especially that log-in screen. On the other hand, it will seem strange not to see the old visual cues that make most of our cocks twitch at the anticipation of the pleasures within. Good luck with the upgrade (a lot can go wrong!), and I look forward to it.
Glad to hear this… this site needs a facelift! I hope that CHARACTERS will be allowed in passwords with this new design (#$%~<, etc)? It is frustrating to not be allowed to create a more secure password right now.
Always great to hear how this site is moving forward. As a member for just coming up 2 years and previously jumping from site to site to find one that worked for my nudist and exhibitionist side and my love for stroking I was very fortunate to have been directed here by a BW member. I have never looked back and not interested in other sites. Looking forward to the changes….
Glad to hear of the design refresh, and especially revamped login pages. (Too many clicks right now just to get to the sign-in page.) But it would be nice if the postal code search actually worked in the Advanced Search section. Works only with US zip codes as far as I can tell. Doesn’t help me, so unless there’s a way to get it to work, the option should disappear as soon as you choose a country other than USA.
“(Too many clicks right now just to get to the sign-in page.)”
I need to get my eyes tested, thought you said “Too many DICKS…” – I wish, would make logging in more fun.
Remember BW 1.0? I do… This site in itself was a huge upgrade from that. Looking forward to the upgrades, hope as well that some of the dead profiles get purged in the facelift. So glad you guys are working on that for us!
Sounds great. I’m looking forward to the responsive design as I often use BW on my iPad.
I’d also like to know if you’ll update the vidchat room. We can’t use vidchat with iPad and I’ve been using Zoom when I need to. It would be nice to stay with my buds here instead of the anonymous and random Zoom encounters.
At this time our members like the features of the current vidchat. We tried to change to a different platform, but the members didn’t like it.
We will be upgrading the current vidchat, but it works with Flash and it won’t work on mobile devices. It is a dilemma and we are looking into some other options because so many people use mobile devices.
This all sounds quite exciting. Thank you for founding and developing such a great site. Happy New Year from a long-time member!
Thanks for this wonderful outlet for self expression…I have enjoyed it on an almost daily basis where possible. The proposals for the evolution of this site are challenging I’m sure, and Kudos to you for taking them on in stride.
One improvement however that I would love to see, would be an improved interface to the vid chat room. Nothing frustrates me more than to have multiple video windows open and then get a message from someone. It is painfully difficult to access the message until you move all the video windows down or to one side. You have to remember….in the vid chat we have already lost access to one full hand so trying to type and move around video windows can be a very challenging feat. Sometimes with all this multitasking one can even lose their boner……heaven forbid! Why not have a dialogue box at the bottom of the screen, and have the whole window set so that the video feeds can not cover up the dialogue area so that one can easily see who is sending them priv messages or dialogue. Or have the video feeds set so that they can be moved out of the dialogue box and into another area of your computer altogether…….to a second screen for example?
I would suggest finding an alternative to Flash for anything. Not only does it not work on most cell phones, Its a huge potential security hole, not to mention a resource hog for people who are bandwidth deficient. I would have to agree with cubyvr about the vid chat. Its really hard to actually watch more than one cam at a time and still see what people are writing in the chat. Do luv the community and all the interesting content here, great job on the site and good luck. Maybe using new HTML5 instead of flash should be looked into??
