Did you ever want a blow job when no one else is around to help? Or maybe you want to shake up your bate with a new experience. Enter The Handy. The sex toy industry, which has long been more focused on vaginal pleasure, is finally delivering increasingly sophisticated and high-tech toys designed for penises. While I haven’t tried out their competitors, I can nonetheless say with confidence that The Handy is among the very best penis-pleasuring toys available.
This Norwegian-designed penis toy does everything for you. The future is here. The Handy is basically a sex robot. Think of a Fleshlight feel, but it automatically strokes your dick while you just sit back and enjoy.
Here’s how The Handy works:
This toy will not work for you unless you are fully erect. So you have to get aroused first. Once you are hard, you put your dick in a sleeve made of clear TPE, which feels like jelly-like rubber. And if you’re lubricated with a water-based lube, the interior really does feel a lot like a mouth (or other bodily orifice). With an elastic band, you strap that hard cock-filled sleeve to The Handy itself. While you hold the base of the machine on your pelvis, The Handy slides the attached sleeve up and down your dick.
You can adjust two settings: the stroke length and the speed, which can range from 10 to an astonishing 600 strokes per minute. It is fun to mess around with both those settings while this device takes you for a ride. In my experience, you are almost guaranteed to come big. And this thing can go as long as you want and it will never get tired or impatient.
The Handy, shaped a black column, has an elegant minimalist design with just a few buttons on the front. It doesn’t have a battery and must be plugged into an electric socket during use. I assume that is because this machine’s motor is so powerful that it would probably run down a battery quickly. But, when it is plugged in, it can go all day or all night.
What I’ve already described might be enough to justify the $199 price, but it does have another feature. It can go into online mode and sync up with select porn videos. So when you see a stroke or thrust on the screen, you feel it and it matches the speed and stroke length. In my experimentation, this worked remarkably well for me. Regrettably, I haven’t made much use of this porn-syncing technology because if you, like me, are looking for gay porn, the selection of compatible videos is very slim. So I mostly stick with offline mode and watch the porn of my choice. The Handy feels amazing whether it syncs or not.
Another cool feature: it can be controlled remotely through a smartphone app, which could be fun for partner play.
The Handy is only available through the brand’s own website (thehandy.com) or through Amazon, although as I write this, the price is $10 higher on Amazon.
So how does The Handy compare with jerking off the old-fashioned way – with your hands?
Hands absolutely win in my book, although why do we have to choose? It’s nice to have options because variety can make things interesting.
The Handy provides some delicious novel sensations that you can’t do with your hand, but nothing feels better than grabbing a handful of your own stiff dick. When I first got my Handy, I used it obsessively for a few weeks and then I realized that I missed using my hand and I set it aside. But it is still fun to pick up sometimes.
Besides price, the only major downside to this toy is cleanup. To ensure the life of your sleeve, the instructions advise to clean up that cum- and lube-filled reservoir soon after you finish. It isn’t too hard, though. You just need water and it can be turned inside out to make it easier. When your sleeve does wear out, they sell replacements for $15. Additionally, The Handy may be compatible with other strokers that you already have in your toy chest.
So, is it worth the price?
They offer occasional discounts, but even then, it is pricey. However, I ask: What is more worthy of investment than your penis pleasure? I can’t think of anything I’d rather spend money on and I don’t regret this purchase. So, if you have 200 spare dollars in your sex toy budget, this would be an excellent use of that money. And the price is not out of line with competitors. For example, Fleshlight sells its own automated masturbator, which is comparably priced.
If you don’t have $200 to spend on this toy, there are some other great penis toys for less. For instance, “guybrators” are also fun and usually cost a lot less. And, like I said, you always have your hands, which will never fail you. You are not doing anything wrong at all if you stick with your hands. You don’t have to pay for them. You don’t have to keep them plugged in or charged up. And they are always with you.
The Handy has been around for a few years. Their website says that they have sold 60,000, but the potential market is in the billions because most folks with penises would enjoy this ingenious dick delighting device. It will certainly continue to grow in popularity.
