…Exercises called “Kegels” or “PC clenches” proven to be beneficial to erotic enjoyment.

QUESTION: Hey, Bate Master Bruce: In your vids I see how you can make your erect penis flip up and down and bounce around without moving anything else! That’s so awesome! How can I do that?

RESPONSE: Hey, Friend, thanks for asking! Yes, there is a good reason I can do that, and most guys can get a lot of similar action going through several regular practices. These practices I’ll describe are actually good to improve the quality of your erections. They also help you to control the urge to ejaculate so that you can “edge” longer or retain semen for as long as you wish before you choose to ejaculate.

Many, many years ago I began to hear that exercises called “Kegels” or “PC clenches” proven to be beneficial to erotic enjoyment. The PC (or pubococcygeus) muscle is that band of muscle that runs literally between your legs at the base of your torso. Shaped like a hammock, the PC extends from the back side of your scrotum to just in front of your anus. The exercises mentioned at the start of this paragraph all involve pretty much the same thing, which is to alternately clench and relax that muscle. Tighten it as hard as possible, then relax it. Repetitions of this.

When I tried to discipline myself to do this regularly, I soon got bored. Then I learned about a similar practice that can accomplish much the same benefits, but it also easy to integrate with masturbation: Anal Breathing.

My best advice on this is start doing the anal breathing without masturbating—try it by itself first for a little while, just to get the hang of it. Then try adding it to the mix of your techniques while you masturbate. This will become not only beneficial, but it can add immensely to your pure penis pleasure, and make penis flipping more effective. (Of course, some guys have an erection that curves strongly up back towards the belly already, but the benefits are the same for any style of penis!)

HOW TO: Simply coordinate your breathing, with clenching and relaxing your anal sphincter. When you breathe IN, CLENCH your anus; when you breathe OUT, RELAX your anus. This sounds simple, and basically it is simple. However, it is also effective at developing strength and resilience of the PC muscle, which encloses the inner-body root of your penis; this also connects with muscles around the base of your penis, directly above your scrotum. I cannot emphasize too much, that to perform Anal Breathing while you masturbate also enhances the actual blissful sensations of masturbating. When you practice mindfully, with close attention, you will be able to actually feel how the clench of the PC pushes a bit more blood from the inner root into the external magnificence of your erect penis.

JUST THIS: Breathe IN, CLENCH your anus; when you breathe OUT, RELAX your anus. The reason I’ve been able to develop a strong PC and reap the benefits is that I began many years ago to perform anal breathing at the same time I was masturbating, so it became almost second nature. This is why in many of my videos, you can see me flipping and flopping upward my engorged penis even without moving my hips.

Try it! You’ll like it!

How Bruce P. Grether became the Batemaster

Among his earliest memories, Bruce recalls seeing an adult man’s penis swing about anchored in a nest of curly brown hairs when the man was changing clothes. That penis fascinated him and he somehow knew it was of major importance. He also remembers how good it felt to slide down a stairway banister or to climb a tree with pressure between his legs sending delicious sensations all through his body.

At an early age, he played doctor with another boy his age, and the frottage he enjoyed as they rubbed their penises together made him feel One with All Things.

He was older, maybe 9 or 10 years when he figured out how to actually masturbate while taking a shower. Immediately Bruce became a fan of self-pleasure, though, with puberty, he became extremely shy about his body being seen. Still, when his pubic hair sprouted and his penis grew bigger, it astonished him how incredible the sensations could feel with adult genitalia.

All through his 20s and 30s Bruce loved masturbating and did it often. Something kept tell him though, that there could be more to it. None of the books he read about Tantra and Taoist erotic cultivation provided simple how-to instructions. Finally, in his early 40s, he came upon Joseph Kramer’s video about male genital massage: FIRE ON THE MOUNTAIN.

Having no playmates to try this with, he tried it on himself. In the process, he discovered what he soon named “Mindful Masturbation.” For 6 weeks he masturbated for hours every day, and did not ejaculate once! This was the Penis Paradise he had been looking for since his adventures playing doctor as a young boy. He was changed forever and lost most of his shyness and insecurities.

Bruce began to listen deeply to whatever his penis told him. This way he learned more and more about male masturbation, the penis, and he studied human sexuality. Soon he was hired to write professionally for the sex education site JackinWorld (dot) com, which he did for some years under the name “Bruce McFarland.”

Since then, his erotic activism is more radical and he uses his actual given name: Bruce P. Grether, AKA the Batemaster. He has hosted workshops and now does online masturbation coaching. In 2012 his best-selling book THE SECRET OF THE GOLDEN PHALLUS was published and with his handsome young friend Blue Tyger he created the Erotic Engineering site to explore advanced male self-pleasure practices.

Bruce considers himself a Missionary of the Male Mysteries and his work continues.

  1. One of the best avenues towards extended masturbatory bliss. I have long practiced this – at first for ejaculatory control, but more recently for edging, gooning or whatever the kids are calling it these days. Combined with the breathing techniques Bruce teaches, it is amazing the amount of pleasure one can experience
