“I notice some guys look at me funny, or even scowl. Should I say something?”
QUESTION: I’m uncut here in the USA, because my mother is sort of a Deadhead hippie type. She’s told me it’s more natural. I absolutely love my foreskin, but being in the minority in the showers at school, I notice some guys look at me funny, or even scowl. Should I say something?
RESPONSE: This can be a really sensitive subject, but unless someone says something to you or really looks freaked out, maybe it’s best to just appreciate the extra you’ve got. Try not to let anyone else’s opinion about you bother you on this, or anything else. Still, if someone says something that makes you feel weird, just say, “This is how I’m made, and I love it!” Who knows? He might even want a demonstration, or at least a bit of education!
In one sense your mother is right: Nature and evolution designed human males with a foreskin. It’s a spectacular part of the intact male anatomy. It naturally increases the number of pleasurable sensations your penis can give you, as the sensitive nerve-laden foreskin deliciously slides over the extremely sensitive head of your penis. The outside of your foreskin is sensitive too, as I’m sure you’ve noticed.
As I told a circumcised fellow several columns back, I encourage cut guys not to feel mutilated, though you can make a case for the fact it’s not such a great idea to circumcise newborn baby boys. Circumcised guys may be challenged to feel as much pleasure. They can use plenty of lubrication during masturbation, and perhaps get really creative to achieve similar levels of satisfaction.
At this point I don’t think anyone has compared brain scans of both kinds of guys masturbating. That could be a really interesting scientific study!
Meanwhile, with the skin you’ve got, it still helps to really get creative and explore the possibilities while you pleasure yourself. My intact friends often like to pull the edge of the skin out from the head of their penis and rub it between fingers. Sometimes guys push the skin all the way back onto the shaft, and with fingers of a hand from over the end, twirl the fingertips over the bunched-up skin. Plus, to work the skin over the head is a special joy.
Uncut or cut guys, both kinds, often find special joy in stimulating the “frenulum” at the underside of the penis head. That’s a stretchy little strip of tissue that attaches to the underside of the shaft just below the head. For some men, this is the most sensitive spot on the penis, but guys vary, and for some it’s not so special.
Your experience in the showers just shows how much this is also about what we are used to. I will not take any position one way or another to make anyone feel less adequate or attractive. I appreciate many beautiful bare-headed cut cocks and also love to admire the endless variety of foreskins—shorter, longer, darker, lighter, sometimes with a rippled edge—that I see online.
When you play with anyone different from yourself, celebrate and learn from the differences!

A note from The Batemaster: I’m honored that the guys at Bateworld have asked me to respond to some questions from male masturbators around the world every week.
Always check with your doctor about any issues you might be experiencing with your sexual organs. Prompt diagnosis and treatment are important. This article’s purpose is to inform and entertain readers and is not a substitute for medical advice or treatment.
I went thru the same experience when younger. I was so sensitive to the look of my cock and ashamed to expose it in the showers or at the urinals. As I grew older and became more sexual as a gay man, I’m am proud of my uncut manhood. Never thought of myself being hung (8.5) due to the fact was so concerned with the odd look of my cock as compared to my cut friends. Today, I’m proud to pull it out and show it off whether its soft or rockhard . I’m given to the fact that I’m uncut and Proud! Many guys wish they had their intact skin and have told me so. Love how sensitive the head is to the touch and the look of my skin. For me, its always a treat to find a natural uncut cock to orally service. Hope more parents decide to forego the act of mutilation of a males pride and joy-his cock!
Thanks for your wonderful testimony here! Every man who loves his penis as it is ought to be proud of it, and that can inspire any man to show appreciation for the varied penises of his Phallic Brothers. Indeed, more and more parents in the USA are choosing not to allow infant circumcision, which I feel is the right direction to go. It seems to me that those of us who are circumcised may have to go to greater lengths to experience as much pleasure as our intact brothers. In my own case, if I experienced more pleasure, I could not stand it! I love my circumcised penis as it is, and I appreciate and admire the foreskins of intact men.
Yes we appreciate whatever we have downthere. Big or small, cut or uncut. Long as they work, let’s enjoy the pleasures we can give ourselves masturbating. Cut here, it is what it is. But I certainly understand that nature designs our parts for a reason and we should simply leave things alone, especially downthere. It just makes sense that an uncut cock must have “bonus” pleasure points for sensitivity.
I do believe the trend here in the US is changing to uncut. I do recall an article in the newspaper financial help section about a parent who was take aback that the procedure was NOT covered by their health insurance and the bill was $9-10,000. Ha, guess instead of considering the personal health & beauty of their kids uncut penis, the parent was mainly concerned with the hospital bill. Oh well.
The UK and other countries such as Australlia. uncuts seems to be more of the trend there.
As a child growing up in the UK I was intrigued why some penises I saw (usually in the shower at school) were cut and some (like me) were uncut. It was not until adolescence and more experimentation and comparisions with me and a few friends’ penises that I understood what circumcision was. The first time I had a group wank was when I was about 13 when 10 of us from school went on a trip on a canal boat. I was so pleased to discover that ALL my mates were masturbating after “lights out” and some of us would compare our penises, shapes, sizes, foreskins or not, and wank together. From pubetry onwards I masturbated as often as I could and enjoyed using my foreskin in much the same ways as The Batemaster describes above. It was not until I started bating with other guys as an adult I realised that being cut may involve more need for lube or a different technique. I graduated from medical school in 1984 and subsequetnly trained as a family doctor and then did more training and work in sexual medicine (both infections and psychosexual medicine) so I have probably seen (professionally) more dick than many guys (and maybe recreationally too!). I fully agree with The Batemaster, when he says that whether cut or uncut, a guy should not be made to feel embarrassed or dissatisfied with his penis. HOWEVER my personal view with 35 years experience as a doctor (and 45 as an avid wanker) is that circumcision for cultural or religious grounds is genital mutilation and a violation of human rights because a parent or elder has usually inflicted the operation on a vulnerable baby or child without their consent. Any other form of cutting etc. would usually be a criminal assault and child protection issue (in the UK at least). I do not accept that religious rights should overide an individual’s right, and although I have many close Jewish and Muslim friends we have to disagree on circumcision. From a UK medical perspective I believe that circumcision is only indicated if the foreskin in dysfunctionl in someway and the problem cannot be resolved otherwise. Even guys with a tight foreskin (phimosis) which cannot retract at all can have no problems (at least 4 of my good friends have never seen their glans but enjoy their penises – I enjoy them too!). The foreskin is a very sensitive piece of skin that if left intact will enhance sexual pleasure, but of course if you were cut before you became sexually aware then you can argue that you cannot miss what you have never had. That said, I know a few men who had such a problem with a foreskin that was tight, split or became painful with sex, or just when erect, they made a medically informed decision to get cicumcised and have been pleased with the result. In summary I am strongly against circucision for any reason other than medical need, unless a man has made an informed decision for “cosmetic” circumcision because that is want he wants (similar to choosing a piercing or tattoo). In which case then he should pay the going rate (definitely NOT nearly as much as $9-10,000 as mentioned above) to a reputable appropriately qualified medical professional. I make no apolgies for my long comment – it is a subject about which I feel strongly!
In America, an uncut dick is a great conversation starter! I’m actually a bit surprised by all the cut guys who wish they were uncut.
