Erotic, Mindful, and Out-of-Body Bate Without the Use of Drugs

QUESTION:

You have a video called “The Psychedelic Penis” on your site, and it’s great! Really trippy effects! I’ve also seen that legal research is now being done again on the serious therapeutic effects of such medicines. What’s the real link with the penis and the bate, if any?

RESPONSE:

Great question! Obviously, masturbation alters your consciousness. It takes you into a special blissful place of feeling good, special, and different from the rest of your daily existence. I think it is only with Mindful Masturbation, practicing self-pleasure as a form of loving yourself better and better, that you experience major personal growth and even a kind of transformation.

When you learn to cultivate prolonged, high-quality states of pure penis pleasure and retain your semen for longer before you ejaculate, to alter your consciousness far more profoundly, than with hasty pumping to ejaculation. Many men still masturbate pretty much the same way they set the pattern in their teens. That is not wrong, only it misses far greater possibilities. By cultivating my erotic energy mindfully, I’ve experienced profoundly altered states that seemed “out-of-body” or “psychedelic” without the use of drugs.

“By cultivating my erotic energy mindfully, I’ve experienced profoundly altered states that seemed “out-of-body” or “psychedelic” without the use of drugs.”

Several times I’ve experienced something like the classic “near death experience” or NDE, only without any actual danger to my survival. After a “full body orgasm” to end a session without ejaculation, I found myself going through the “Tunnel of Light” going onto the “Other Side.” There, I encountered Ancestors, and then got sent back to continue my lifetime. All this is far from unique, in fact it’s classic, though not so common as a side-effect of masturbation.

Several times I had other kinds of “visionary” experiences. These can probably be understood as produced by the exotic cocktail of brain chemicals and hormones my special “advanced” masturbation practices generate inside my body and brain. Some studies of biochemistry suggest that my practices may have triggered my pineal gland to set in motion a cascade effect that led to my brain producing the trippy chemical DMT. DMT is a powerful psychedelic chemical found in many places in Nature, in many plants, some animals, and possibly in your own brain.

It seems plausible to me that those intense, prolonged, creative states of pure penis pleasure, when I keep my body relaxed during high arousal, might sometimes produce some endogenous (inner body) DMT. Whatever the cause, I’ve communicated with other men who had similar experiences.

You don’t need to experience anything so unusual to view the penis as psychedelic, a word that comes from Greek roots that mean literally “clear mind.”

A note from The Batemaster: I’m honored that the guys at Bateworld have asked me to respond to some questions from male masturbators around the world every week.

How Bruce P. Grether became the Batemaster

Among his earliest memories, Bruce recalls seeing an adult man’s penis swing about anchored in a nest of curly brown hairs when the man was changing clothes. That penis fascinated him and he somehow knew it was of major importance. He also remembers how good it felt to slide down a stairway banister or to climb a tree with pressure between his legs sending delicious sensations all through his body.

At an early age, he played doctor with another boy his age, and the frottage he enjoyed as they rubbed their penises together made him feel One with All Things.

He was older, maybe 9 or 10 years when he figured out how to actually masturbate while taking a shower. Immediately Bruce became a fan of self-pleasure, though, with puberty, he became extremely shy about his body being seen. Still, when his pubic hair sprouted and his penis grew bigger, it astonished him how incredible the sensations could feel with adult genitalia.

All through his 20s and 30s Bruce loved masturbating and did it often. Something kept tell him though, that there could be more to it. None of the books he read about Tantra and Taoist erotic cultivation provided simple how-to instructions. Finally, in his early 40s, he came upon Joseph Kramer’s video about male genital massage: FIRE ON THE MOUNTAIN.

Having no playmates to try this with, he tried it on himself. In the process, he discovered what he soon named “Mindful Masturbation.” For 6 weeks he masturbated for hours every day, and did not ejaculate once! This was the Penis Paradise he had been looking for since his adventures playing doctor as a young boy. He was changed forever and lost most of his shyness and insecurities.

Bruce began to listen deeply to whatever his penis told him. This way he learned more and more about male masturbation, the penis, and he studied human sexuality. Soon he was hired to write professionally for the sex education site JackinWorld (dot) com, which he did for some years under the name “Bruce McFarland.”

Since then, his erotic activism is more radical and he uses his actual given name: Bruce P. Grether, AKA the Batemaster. He has hosted workshops and now does online masturbation coaching. In 2012 his best-selling book THE SECRET OF THE GOLDEN PHALLUS was published and with his handsome young friend Blue Tyger he created the Erotic Engineering site to explore advanced male self-pleasure practices.

Bruce considers himself a Missionary of the Male Mysteries and his work continues.

  1. Great post and I can certainly relate. Perhaps not to the NDE point, but my consciousness is definitely altered during a good long edging session.

I just posted a blog relating to my experience of hands-free edging. It’s an experience that is unlike normal manual manipulation masturbation or edging. One becomes so much more aware of their body because it becomes a necessity. The concentration is even more powerful (and exhausting!) than “normal” edging. My mind keeps propelling me to push the edge longer and longer, and at times, it requires my whole body to be involved. Thrashing, squeezing, pulsating movements, along with some serious verbal grunts, groans and repetitive chanting.

But this method has to come with a lot of edging practice. Anyone who is interested in being coached can contact me via my profile.

  2. Yup! Wasn’t until I began practicing Mindful Masturbation that I realized my eyes were rolling back into my head and it felt like I was able to see my mind and all of its colors! Weird, yes. But hot as hell! And all just from truly getting into myself.
    Thanks for the post.
