Ask The Batemaster: Celebrity Penis

“Penises of the Rich and Famous!”

QUESTION:

I masturbate to naked photos of male celebrities, and of course not all of them are real photos, and it takes some searching. But this turns me on the most of all! It’s something of an obsession, in fact. Is this a fetish? Is there anything twisted about it?

RESPONSE:

Your fascination is not necessarily a problem, though it probably qualifies as a sexual fetish, meaning a circumstance or specific kind of content that you find particularly arousing. Indeed, there are plenty of phony, Photo-shopped images that are presented as naked male celebrities, to be found online. At the same time, some male celebrities are actually rather casual about swimming naked or nude sunbathing, or nudist activities where they may be photographed, perhaps because they don’t mind, or even want to be seen naked.

The dark side of this is the “paparazzi problem:” devious and secretive photographers who seek to photograph well-known people naked, without their knowledge, or against their will. This is actually very uncool, a serious invasion of personal privacy. Like many other humans of the 21st Century, some celebrities take selfies of themselves naked, or even aroused and sometimes masturbating. In most cases, these are probably not intended to ever be released to the public, but if such images exist, there is always the possibility of accidental release, or theft of the images.

All of these things said, I am not suggesting that there is really anything wrong with your particular fetish, though the subject can involve invasion of privacy in ways that most people would find offensive.

As far as it being a fetish, yes it sounds like it qualifies for that term. As I sometimes tell men, any particular fetish is not necessarily any problem, so long as the creation of the images involved, or seeking the specific situation and behavior involved in providing you that special thrill harms no one. At the same time, if a fetish is seriously limiting to the scope and range of enjoyment you can take in erotic scenarios or situations, it may prove undesirable to perpetuate or focus on this particular fetish too much. To maintain it may actually end up frustrating you.

Are you still quite easily capable of getting turned on by other kinds of images or situations? This question may be important to ask yourself now and then. Seek to be honest with yourself about your answer to it. If you honestly discern that the fetish limits your enjoyment more than it adds to your life, you might question it. In a really serious case, to deal with reducing the power of a fetish over you might require counseling. But most sexual fetishes never get this serious and are basically harmless. They can certainly be a lot of fun and a great source of pleasure!

How Bruce P. Grether became the Batemaster

Among his earliest memories, Bruce recalls seeing an adult man’s penis swing about anchored in a nest of curly brown hairs when the man was changing clothes. That penis fascinated him and he somehow knew it was of major importance. He also remembers how good it felt to slide down a stairway banister or to climb a tree with pressure between his legs sending delicious sensations all through his body.

At an early age, he played doctor with another boy his age, and the frottage he enjoyed as they rubbed their penises together made him feel One with All Things.

He was older, maybe 9 or 10 years when he figured out how to actually masturbate while taking a shower. Immediately Bruce became a fan of self-pleasure, though, with puberty, he became extremely shy about his body being seen. Still, when his pubic hair sprouted and his penis grew bigger, it astonished him how incredible the sensations could feel with adult genitalia.

All through his 20s and 30s Bruce loved masturbating and did it often. Something kept tell him though, that there could be more to it. None of the books he read about Tantra and Taoist erotic cultivation provided simple how-to instructions. Finally, in his early 40s, he came upon Joseph Kramer’s video about male genital massage: FIRE ON THE MOUNTAIN.

Having no playmates to try this with, he tried it on himself. In the process, he discovered what he soon named “Mindful Masturbation.” For 6 weeks he masturbated for hours every day, and did not ejaculate once! This was the Penis Paradise he had been looking for since his adventures playing doctor as a young boy. He was changed forever and lost most of his shyness and insecurities.

Bruce began to listen deeply to whatever his penis told him. This way he learned more and more about male masturbation, the penis, and he studied human sexuality. Soon he was hired to write professionally for the sex education site JackinWorld (dot) com, which he did for some years under the name “Bruce McFarland.”

Since then, his erotic activism is more radical and he uses his actual given name: Bruce P. Grether, AKA the Batemaster. He has hosted workshops and now does online masturbation coaching. In 2012 his best-selling book THE SECRET OF THE GOLDEN PHALLUS was published and with his handsome young friend Blue Tyger he created the Erotic Engineering site to explore advanced male self-pleasure practices.

Bruce considers himself a Missionary of the Male Mysteries and his work continues.
