Ask The Batemaster: How To Masturbate Mindfully, Part 3 of 3

QUESTION: I am a physician, an M.D. in my 30s who has long been a fan of your teachings. I work in an Emergency Room, which is very stressful and the hours long. I’m single, so your kind of masturbation really helps more than I can tell you. I read your columns here. Could you present a simple summary of a few of the most important points on how to Masturbate Mindfully?

RESPONSE: The first six suggestions on how to masturbate mindfully involve many specific practices that can enhance your practice: 1.) breathing deeply; 2.) keeping relaxed; 3.) keeping the focus on yourself; 4.) varying your strokes; 5.) taking care of yourself;  and 6.) refining your practice. As you actually enact and put together these techniques in this order, you may begin to access more intense pure penis pleasure for longer periods than ever before! From here on, part of the process involves that awareness of paying full attention, along with an open-minded attitude.

7. Surrender: At this point, nothing can get in the way of you experiencing higher levels of erotic ecstasy than ever—except you. It helps to truly “get out of your own way.” Any lingering traces of guilt or shame about masturbation and your penis, can be overcome best by total surrender to how incredibly good this kind of masturbation feels! You can only get so far using logic or your rational mind, but the blissful electro-chemical sensations that begin to flood through your body and brain when you surrender in this way become transformational.

This is where the power of Mindful Masturbation begins to offer you unexpected gifts, both within you and around you. Within your, you may become aware of a kind of ancestral energy, a deeper connection with all those male ancestors encoded in your DNA. They loved the sensations of the aroused penis, and their pleasure ended up being your own legacy. Your penis, your male sexuality are direct gifts from all of those internal men. Beyond your body, the sensations and states of expanded awareness this practice brings can help you feel increasingly connected with Nature itself, the biome that produced your body, that contains and sustains you.

8. Limitless Bliss: You may wish to explore the farthest frontiers of “edging” or semen retention by ejaculating less often and ending sessions more often without ejaculation. A.) You can simply relax in the aftermath, take time to deeply relish the afterglow, and consciously absorb the blissful energy of the session so it becomes part of you. Don’t rush to get up, check your phone or email; keep relaxed. B.) Or you can do a Big Draw. Put simply, this means that after a fairly long session (at least 1/2 hour) with deep breathing, take three deep breaths. Hold the third breath IN and tighten all the muscles in your body you can, including your anus, for about 10 or 12 seconds. Then release your breath, relax all muscles. You may experience a full body orgasm, which may seem like mildly floating, or may include fairly dramatic sensations. Take time.

9. One With All Things: Some deeper and higher aspects of Mindful Masturbation have become available to you. What is it all for? What is it all about? Simple pleasure is enough. Also, you discover that there seems to be unlimited bliss in the Universe; perhaps only you come and go from it, but it is there all the time! You no longer cling to pleasure so much or push away pain. Let everything flow through you. Mindful Masturbation helps you to feel fully, intensely, profoundly alive! On deeper and higher levels, nothing is separate from anything else. You are One with everything that exists!

Please enjoy yourself!

How Bruce P. Grether became the Batemaster

Among his earliest memories, Bruce recalls seeing an adult man’s penis swing about anchored in a nest of curly brown hairs when the man was changing clothes. That penis fascinated him and he somehow knew it was of major importance. He also remembers how good it felt to slide down a stairway banister or to climb a tree with pressure between his legs sending delicious sensations all through his body.

At an early age, he played doctor with another boy his age, and the frottage he enjoyed as they rubbed their penises together made him feel One with All Things.

He was older, maybe 9 or 10 years when he figured out how to actually masturbate while taking a shower. Immediately Bruce became a fan of self-pleasure, though, with puberty, he became extremely shy about his body being seen. Still, when his pubic hair sprouted and his penis grew bigger, it astonished him how incredible the sensations could feel with adult genitalia.

All through his 20s and 30s Bruce loved masturbating and did it often. Something kept tell him though, that there could be more to it. None of the books he read about Tantra and Taoist erotic cultivation provided simple how-to instructions. Finally, in his early 40s, he came upon Joseph Kramer’s video about male genital massage: FIRE ON THE MOUNTAIN.

Having no playmates to try this with, he tried it on himself. In the process, he discovered what he soon named “Mindful Masturbation.” For 6 weeks he masturbated for hours every day, and did not ejaculate once! This was the Penis Paradise he had been looking for since his adventures playing doctor as a young boy. He was changed forever and lost most of his shyness and insecurities.

Bruce began to listen deeply to whatever his penis told him. This way he learned more and more about male masturbation, the penis, and he studied human sexuality. Soon he was hired to write professionally for the sex education site JackinWorld (dot) com, which he did for some years under the name “Bruce McFarland.”

Since then, his erotic activism is more radical and he uses his actual given name: Bruce P. Grether, AKA the Batemaster. He has hosted workshops and now does online masturbation coaching. In 2012 his best-selling book THE SECRET OF THE GOLDEN PHALLUS was published and with his handsome young friend Blue Tyger he created the Erotic Engineering site to explore advanced male self-pleasure practices.

Bruce considers himself a Missionary of the Male Mysteries and his work continues.

  1. BTW, IF you are running short on $$$ and need to save a few $, the next time you go to your drug store for some Albolene, you might try POND COLD CREME. It is basically the same thing and from what I can gather it is about HALF the price of Albolene. Another excellent JO and fuck lube is Jergens Lotion. I can remember jacking off with this before I could even cum. My Mom always kept both Jergens for her hands and Ponds to remove make up. It was always in the bathroom and I could tell Mom I was going to take a bath, get naked, and a hand full of Ponds. As soon as I had the Ponds or Jergens on my dick, I would have a “dry” orgasm. The Jergens was easy to steal because she always bought a big bottle of it. I had a tiny little bottle that I always had with me, because you just never knew when you would need to lube up to JO or fuck.
