Ask The Batemaster: Frenulum Sensitivity

Frenulum-Sensitivity---ATBM---TBB

So long as you get pleasure from your penis…

QUESTION:

Some guys seem so sensitive on their frenulum at the underside of their penis head that it drives them wild! Mine doesn’t seem to be. I’ve looked at photos and some circumcised guys have more of a ridge or fold of skin there, and I really don’t. What am I missing? Should I be jealous? Is something wrong with me?

RESPONSE:

So long as you get pleasure from your penis, there is truly nothing wrong with it! All penises have the same basic design, but like men themselves, they also vary. Frenulum sensitivity tends to differ quite a lot along with everything else. The frenulum of an intact man, with his full natural foreskin, is a region of elastic tissue that connects the foreskin on the underside of the shaft with the underside of the glans or penis-head.

“Frenulum” comes from Latin for “little bridle” which refers to a horse’s bridle, which in the case of equestrian equipment is used to direct the head of a horse. Similarly, the frenulum of an intact penis tends to return the foreskin back up toward the glans after it has been pushed down along the shaft. This tissue is especially rich with pleasure-receptor nerves.

For men who are circumcised, if the frenulum is especially sensitive, it seems associated with how much of this tissue remains at the underside of the penis head. For some, to stimulate the spot is extremely pleasurable, for others just somewhat pleasurable, and for others nothing special at all. Unfortunately, this range results largely from minute details of the circumcision operation, which is not always very precise or consistent.

“The overall pleasure you can generate by stimulation of your entire penis, and other sensitive regions of your body while you masturbate is what matters most.”

The overall pleasure you can generate by stimulation of your entire penis, and other sensitive regions of your body while you masturbate is what matters most. Even for a man whose frenulum is not especially sensitive, the entire head of the penis, the coronal ridge that divides its bulbous shape from the shaft, and the crown or dome is extra-sensitive. The remainder of the shaft should not be neglected, either. Your entire body can be awakened as an erogenous zone!

Might as well enjoy it fully: your penis is truly perfect exactly as it is!

A note from The Batemaster: I’m honored that the guys at Bateworld have asked me to respond to some questions from male masturbators around the world every week.

How Bruce P. Grether became the Batemaster

Among his earliest memories, Bruce recalls seeing an adult man’s penis swing about anchored in a nest of curly brown hairs when the man was changing clothes. That penis fascinated him and he somehow knew it was of major importance. He also remembers how good it felt to slide down a stairway banister or to climb a tree with pressure between his legs sending delicious sensations all through his body.

At an early age, he played doctor with another boy his age, and the frottage he enjoyed as they rubbed their penises together made him feel One with All Things.

He was older, maybe 9 or 10 years when he figured out how to actually masturbate while taking a shower. Immediately Bruce became a fan of self-pleasure, though, with puberty, he became extremely shy about his body being seen. Still, when his pubic hair sprouted and his penis grew bigger, it astonished him how incredible the sensations could feel with adult genitalia.

All through his 20s and 30s Bruce loved masturbating and did it often. Something kept tell him though, that there could be more to it. None of the books he read about Tantra and Taoist erotic cultivation provided simple how-to instructions. Finally, in his early 40s, he came upon Joseph Kramer’s video about male genital massage: FIRE ON THE MOUNTAIN.

Having no playmates to try this with, he tried it on himself. In the process, he discovered what he soon named “Mindful Masturbation.” For 6 weeks he masturbated for hours every day, and did not ejaculate once! This was the Penis Paradise he had been looking for since his adventures playing doctor as a young boy. He was changed forever and lost most of his shyness and insecurities.

Bruce began to listen deeply to whatever his penis told him. This way he learned more and more about male masturbation, the penis, and he studied human sexuality. Soon he was hired to write professionally for the sex education site JackinWorld (dot) com, which he did for some years under the name “Bruce McFarland.”

Since then, his erotic activism is more radical and he uses his actual given name: Bruce P. Grether, AKA the Batemaster. He has hosted workshops and now does online masturbation coaching. In 2012 his best-selling book THE SECRET OF THE GOLDEN PHALLUS was published and with his handsome young friend Blue Tyger he created the Erotic Engineering site to explore advanced male self-pleasure practices.

Bruce considers himself a Missionary of the Male Mysteries and his work continues.

  1. Enjoy what you have… of course explore the fren, indeed for many it is wonderful area of the penis to pleasure. But don’t worry if it’s not something that pleases you, we’re all designed a little differently, perhaps try some lube when you do finger that spot. More importantly, explore and learn about what you do have “downthere” and how you like being pleasured.

  2. I was circumcised when I was younger due to a tight foreskin. All other options didn’t work.

I have a fully intact frenulum which is extremely large compared to most with the V area covering quite a large area of loose skin.

Stimulation of my frenulum is highly pleasurable.

I have had success in improving how long I can last before I ejaculate. However, I would like to last even longer.
