The Tantric Touch

Tantric Touch - The Bator Blog

With everything that is going on in this country and the world right now, what is needed more than ever are peacemakers and healers and mediators.

Throughout history, these are the roles of all men (and women), of all sexualities. As a gay man, I have have played this role. It is now more important than ever before for us to remember this fact, to realize the implications, and to rise to reassume these roles.

To do this, to be able to take care of others, even those we may never meet (or even agree with), we first need to take care of ourselves. We need to ground ourselves. We need to find focus, and we need to generate strength and balance. Therapeutic, sensual, and erotic touch are the perfect modalities to achieve these states.

When we are touched with kindness and caring, by others or by ourselves, we learn to trust. When we touch others with these same intentions we help them learn to trust. When we trust we become open to being touched in ways that our society and organized religion has told us is taboo and shameful, and we come to realize the lie.

And when this kind of touch is shared with respect and with clear intention- not to use each other to get off, but to work with each other to turn on and tune in, it becomes transformative.

When we “tune in” to the power of sexual energy, the energy of life, the energy of creation, we are tuning in to the most powerful energy in the universe. Think about this, if there is God, the Creator, this energy is it. Nothing would be here without it. We wouldn’t be here without it. So to tune in, to cultivate and celebrate this energy, seems only logical.

When we “turn on” we are activating all of those long shut down natural tendencies and talents that we as gay men are born possessing.

When we “tune in” to the power of sexual energy, the energy of life, the energy of creation, we are tuning in to the most powerful energy in the universe.

The ability to view the world from a different perspective.

The ability to understand another’s point of view. To be empathetic to those on the outside because we know what it feels like to be different. To be creative and push boundaries in art and culture.

To be caretakers. Just like the Berdache of Native American cultures. The gay men of the tribe were brought, along with the warriors, into every battle – not to fight, but to support and care for those doing the fighting. They were also near the top in the hierarchy of the tribe, second only to the Chief.

Once we were peacemakers, and healers, and mediators. Today, our country is as divided as it has ever been. Our time has come again. And Tantric touch is where we begin. Touch is our way forward. Together.

In his next article BW Member YogaBate will dive deeper into this Tantra Touch and how you can use it to enjoy yourself and others deeper and how to utilize it on Bateworld.
